Your Rights

You have the right to:

Be treated with respect at all times.
Ask questions about what is happening within the counselling session.
Choose whether or not to participate in a therapeutic methodology suggested by the counsellor.
Decide whether or not to receive therapeutic counselling from me.
Request a referral to other qualified professionals.
End counselling at any time without any legal or moral obligation. However, you do need to let me know if you wish to end the counselling relationship, in person, by phone, or by letter.

Cancellation Policy

If you must cancel your appointment please contact me during office hours, at least 48 hours in advance. This ensures that I can plan accordingly and see other clients requesting counselling in the opening.
You are responsible for the fee if cancellation has been received less than 48 hours in advance. Exceptions such as medical emergencies are waived.

Appointments

Counselling sessions are 55 or 85 minutes in length. If you arrive or call in late for your appointment, your session will still conclude at the scheduled time. Acceptable forms of payment are Pay Pal (accepts various credit cards), cash, and cheques. Restrictions apply for some cheques. There is a $30 fee for returned cheques.
